Ecclesiastes 6:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 The Voice (VOICE)

9 It is better to enjoy what our eyes see than to long for what our roving appetites desire. This, too, is fleeting, like trying to embrace the wind.

These are my thoughts.
Sight is good but we should keep our eyes from seeing what we can’t handle.

Ecclesiastes 6:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.

Ecclesiastes 6:10
AKJV 10 That which has been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he.

These are my thoughts.
God already knows what is going to happen so we have nothing to worry about if we trust in Him.

Ecclesiastes 6:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?

Ecclesiastes 6:11 The Voice (VOICE)

11 The more a person speaks, the more breath is fleeting; and what advantage do a lot of words bring us?

These are my thoughts.
Looking to things of this world is in vain, we are to look to God to get better.

Ecclesiastes 6:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

Ecclesiastes 6:12 The Voice (VOICE)

12 For who knows the best way for us to live during the few days of our fleeting lives? After all, we pass through them like shadows. For who can say what will happen under the sun after we are gone?

These are my thoughts.
The Lord’s know what is best for us so we should submit to His will and word by making Him Lord.
